Serving Humanity During Crisis: AIM Foundation’s COVID-19 Relief Efforts

During the challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic, AIM Foundation stood by the community with unwavering dedication. As fear, uncertainty, and hardship gripped the nation, the Foundation took swift action to support those most affected—particularly the underprivileged and vulnerable sections of society.

Recognizing the urgent need for health and safety measures, AIM Foundation distributed thousands of masks and hand sanitizers to help prevent the spread of the virus. Volunteers worked tirelessly to reach slum areas, homeless shelters, and densely populated neighborhoods where access to basic protective gear was limited.

In addition to healthcare support, the Foundation focused on the most pressing need of all—food security. With many families losing their sources of income, AIM Foundation launched a community food distribution drive, providing cooked meals and dry ration kits to hundreds of struggling families across Kolkata and nearby areas. Each package contained essentials like rice, lentils, oil, salt, and vegetables to help families sustain themselves during lockdown periods.

Forest Cleaning Drive from Murti to Chandrachur – A Step Towards a Greener Tomorrow

On January 11, 2021, AIM Foundation, in collaboration with Abasar and the West Bengal Forest Department, launched the “Clean Murti to Chandrachur” campaign—a 5 km forest cleaning drive through the heart of Gorumara National Park in the Himalayan foothills of West Bengal. Home to the majestic Indian rhinoceros and diverse wildlife, Gorumara is one of India’s most treasured national parks. However, as tourism grows, so do the challenges. Littering and careless human behavior threaten the delicate balance of this ecosystem. Discarded plastics and waste not only mar the natural beauty of the park but also endanger animal life and increase the risk of forest fires.
