Empowering Youth Through Skill Development: GST Training Program by AIM Foundation

As part of its ongoing commitment to social empowerment, AIM Foundation, in collaboration with the Department of Technical Education, Government of West Bengal, successfully conducted a 100-hour classroom course on Goods and Services Tax (GST) at Golpark, Kolkata. This initiative was designed to bridge the gap between education and employability by providing industry-relevant skills to aspiring professionals.

The course, structured around practical and theoretical aspects of GST, equipped participants with essential knowledge in taxation, accounting, and compliance—areas in high demand within today’s job market. Held under the guidance of experienced trainers, the program emphasized real-world application, ensuring that students could confidently handle GST-related responsibilities in professional settings.

What made this initiative even more impactful was the inclusion of a certificate issued by the Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India, validating the credibility of the training. Along with certification, stipends were provided to eligible candidates as an incentive and support mechanism. Moreover, placement assistance was extended to all successful participants, reflecting AIM Foundation’s holistic approach to capacity building.

The program saw enthusiastic participation from students and young professionals who were eager to enhance their skills and improve their career prospects. On January 11, 2021, AIM Foundation, in collaboration with Abasar and the West Bengal Forest Department, launched the “Clean Murti to Chandrachur” campaign—a 5 km forest cleaning drive through the heart of Gorumara National Park in the Himalayan foothills of West Bengal.
