Celebrating Noboborsho at AIM Foundation: A Day of Culture, Joy, and Togetherness

AIM Foundation ushered in the Bengali New Year—Noboborsho—with a vibrant and heartwarming cultural celebration that brought together people of all ages to share joy, tradition, and community spirit. The event, held at the foundation’s premises, was a delightful blend of traditional music, dance, poetry recitations, and cultural performances that reflected the essence of Bengal’s rich heritage.

The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the start of a new journey filled with hope and positivity. Children, youth, and elders came together to perform folk songs, Rabindra Sangeet, and regional dances, creating an atmosphere that was both festive and deeply emotional. The audience joined in with smiles, cheers, and spontaneous claps, showing the power of culture in bringing people together.

Volunteers and participants wore traditional attire—dhuti-panjabi, sarees, and colorful accessories—that added authenticity and charm to the event. The venue was decorated with alpana designs, flowers, and festive banners, enhancing the aesthetic beauty of the celebration.

Forest Cleaning Drive from Murti to Chandrachur – A Step Towards a Greener Tomorrow

On January 11, 2021, AIM Foundation, in collaboration with Abasar and the West Bengal Forest Department, launched the “Clean Murti to Chandrachur” campaign—a 5 km forest cleaning drive through the heart of Gorumara National Park in the Himalayan foothills of West Bengal. Home to the majestic Indian rhinoceros and diverse wildlife, Gorumara is one of India’s most treasured national parks. However, as tourism grows, so do the challenges. Littering and careless human behavior threaten the delicate balance of this ecosystem. Discarded plastics and waste not only mar the natural beauty of the park but also endanger animal life and increase the risk of forest fires.
